This is an overview of the Nest Wifi vs Google Wifi.

You may have noticed that Google sells a device called the Google Wifi system and the Nest Wifi. At first glance, it may be challenging to decipher what the differences are. Here is an overview of the Nest Wifi vs Google Wifi.

Right off the bat, we can confidently say that the Nest Wifi is essentially an upgrade to the Google Wifi system.

Nest Wifi

The Nest Wifi is available as either a router or a point. You can connect the router to the modem to gain more of a coverage area. And the points increase the mesh even more. It’s also worth mentioning that the points have built-in smart speakers with Google Assistant integration.

The Nest Wifi features fast AC2200 speeds and a hardware microphone switch. But it does not have a speaker in the router. And it lacks an Ethernet port on the points.

Google Wifi

The Google Wifi device is not as powerful (AC1200 speed) as the Nest Wifi device, but it is more economical of an option. And the Google Wifi system units have Ethernet ports. However, the Google Wifi device does not have a built-in smart speaker.

So the Google Wifi system is recommended for those of you who want to spend less, but still blanket more areas of a home or office with Wi-Fi.
