Concurrent Investment Advisors has acquired Spire Investment Partners, adding approximately $5.4 billion in assets across business lines and more than 30 advisor teams to its wealth management platform.
The deal is Concurrent’s first acquisition of another platform business at scale and increases its assets under management to $28.6 billion, compared with $16.8 billion at the beginning of 2026.
Concurrent also advises on approximately $18 billion of corporate retirement plan assets.
Founded in 1997 and headquartered in McLean, Virginia, Spire is a hybrid RIA that supports independent financial professionals through infrastructure, services and community resources.
Spire has expanded in recent years to support third-party RIAs and developed its SWAP program as an internal succession solution for affiliated firms.
Concurrent plans to provide Spire advisors with its integrated technology platform, centralized services, growth capital and succession resources while allowing advisors to maintain ownership of their practices, brands and client relationships.
The transaction adds a home-office presence in Northern Virginia and expands Concurrent’s advisor footprint to 33 states.
Concurrent and Spire are coordinating the transition with the goal of maintaining client service while introducing additional technology and operating resources over time.
Berkshire Global Advisors served as financial adviser to Spire, while Seward & Kissel represented the firm legally. Katz Teller advised Concurrent.
KEY QUOTES:
“As we considered various options to continue to grow the firm, we heard loud and clear from our advisors that they wanted the technology and resources to keep driving their growth and relevance to their clients. All of this without giving up what makes them unique and maintains their independence. This next chapter gives our advisors additional resources, deeper support, and a broader community without asking them to give up the identity of the practices they have worked so hard to build. Spire has always empowered advisors to turn their vision into reality, and this partnership takes that mission even further.”
David Blisk, Founder and CEO of Spire Investment Partners
“Spire shares our belief that advisors work best when they have the freedom to run their own businesses and a fully integrated support system behind them. That philosophical alignment is what made this deal possible. David has built something special over nearly three decades. We are excited to honor that legacy while delivering a meaningful upgrade in technology, resources, and support for every Spire team.”
