Condé Nast: Vasanth Williams Named As Chief Product And Technology Officer

Condé Nast has appointed Vasanth Williams as its new chief product and technology officer, a hire that strengthens the company’s focus on digital innovation, audience engagement, and platform modernization. Williams will officially assume the role today and join the company’s executive leadership team.

Williams brings extensive experience leading product, engineering, and technology divisions at major global media and technology companies. His background includes roles at Amazon, Microsoft, and Yodle, as well as serving as chief product officer and executive vice president of engineering at Major League Baseball. At MLB, he oversaw innovation initiatives across streaming, fan experience, and on-field technology, giving him direct expertise in large-scale consumer platforms and high-volume digital environments.

In his new role, Williams will work across Condé Nast’s editorial, product, and engineering functions to elevate the company’s digital experiences. His responsibilities include driving new tools and platforms, expanding the use of AI to deepen direct audience relationships, developing more personalized content journeys, and guiding the evolution of core digital infrastructure. The company expects these efforts to strengthen consumer engagement across its global portfolio of brands, which spans The New Yorker, Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, Wired, and others.

The appointment reflects Condé Nast’s continued investment in advanced product capabilities and technology development. The company has been implementing initiatives to accelerate the performance, personalization, and scalability of its platforms as media consumption patterns evolve.

Williams’ track record in media technology, combined with his experience delivering innovation at scale, positions him to help Condé Nast navigate rapid industry change. Williams holds an MBA from Duke University and a master’s degree in computer science from Oregon State University.
