Confie, the nation’s largest personal lines insurance distribution company, has acquired 12 retail storefront locations from The General Automobile Insurance Services of Louisiana, further strengthening its presence in Louisiana. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The acquired locations have a more than 30-year history of serving local communities with accessible insurance solutions. The transition includes the existing team, ensuring continuity of service and local expertise. The addition builds on an existing 49-store Freeway Insurance footprint in Louisiana, expanding the company’s reach across the state. Select locations will be rebranded under Acceptance Insurance, introducing the brand to the Louisiana market and broadening Confie’s portfolio in the region.
Confie operates more than 1,400 retail locations in 28 states and serves customers through a telephone and online shared service center covering all 50 states. The company is a portfolio company of Alliant.
