TPG Peppertree has committed up to $1 billion to Connected Infra Group, a newly launched South Florida-based telecom and technology infrastructure company led by industry veteran Bernard Borghei.
Connected Infra Group is focused on owning, operating, and managing telecommunications real estate assets, including wireless towers and related infrastructure across the United States. The company launches with significant financial backing to build a national portfolio in the communications infrastructure sector.
Borghei, Founder, President, and CEO of Connected Infra Group, brings more than 32 years of telecom industry experience to the platform. He previously served as a partner and executive at Global Tower Partners and was Co-Founder and EVP of Operations at Vertical Bridge.
In addition to the investment announcement, Connected Infra Group said Dan Marinberg, Esq., has joined the company as Chief Legal Officer. Marinberg is a veteran real estate attorney, formerly a real estate partner at Greenberg Traurig and previously General Counsel of Vertical Bridge.
TPG Peppertree, founded in 2004 and headquartered in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, is a specialized digital infrastructure investment firm focused primarily on wireless communications towers. The firm manages $7.9 billion in assets under management and has completed more than 175 investments across ten flagship funds.
