Peter Bellini’s Background

Peter Bellini

What is Peter Bellini’s background? Bellini said:

“I come from a legacy deeply rooted in the managed service provider (MSP) and cybersecurity space – this industry has always been part of my DNA. I began my career in 2010 on the support team at ConnectWise, eventually moving into roles as a business analyst and later a project manager for one of the engineering teams based in Bangalore India. It was during that time that I met the future co-founders of ConnectSecure.”

“Over time, I served as a liaison between the development teams in Tampa and India, eventually relocating to India to work more closely with our team there. During that time, we focused on building tools to flesh out our overall platform. After the ConnectWise acquisition, I pursued graduate studies and soon became involved with CyberCNS in late 2022. I invested in the company and played a key role in building out U.S. operations – sales, onboarding, support and marketing efforts. While our co-founders laid the foundation of a strong technical platform, I focused on scaling the business and driving operational growth.”

“I lead business operations across the U.S., which includes sales enablement, onboarding, support, and market development. My focus is on ensuring that the company can scale effectively while maintaining a strong connection with our partner base. I also work closely with the product and engineering teams to align roadmaps with real-world MSP needs.”

Formation Of The Company

How did the idea for ConnectSecure come together? Bellini shared:

“The vision really took shape in the early days by working closely with MSPs. We saw that while existing MSP solutions existed for risk assessments, and enterprise grade tools were not built for the MSP model there was a clear gap in continuous vulnerability scanning – particularly when it came to making it seamless to manage multiple tenants. Many organizations were left exposed due to issues like unpatched software, insecure firewalls, and lack of visibility into all of the assets on a network, not just workstations and servers. “

“We hosted a focus group of MSPs that asked: what’s missing from your stack? The answer was clear; something that could continuously scan and identify vulnerabilities like outdated software, misconfigurations, or compliance gaps. That insight led to the core vision behind ConnectSecure.”

“We built the initial platform and began with a focus group of 10 MSPs, which quickly grew through word-of-mouth to 100. Once we partnered with Pax8, distribution took off globally. Today our solution automates vulnerability detection and patching across millions of devices which is a true testament to our vision and perseverance.”

Favorite Memory

What has been your favorite memory working at ConnectSecure so far? Bellini reflected:

“Reaching 2,000 MSP partners was a major milestone, and we celebrated it in a memorable way. Arnie Bellini, our chairman, jokingly said he would pull our top sales guy on a turtle floatie across the pond at the office park in Tampa, this just so happened to hit in December, so we put Cooper in a Santa Claus outfit and made a whole scene out of it. It was a lighthearted moment that really captured the culture we’re building: fast-growing but grounded in relationships and a bit of fun.”

Core Products

ConnectSecure

What are the company’s core products and features? Bellini explained:

“Our flagship offering is a continuous vulnerability management platform built specifically for MSPs. It scans endpoints and networks for outdated software, misconfigurations, and compliance risks. Features include automated patching, reporting tailored to industry frameworks like CIS and HIPAA, and advanced scanning to identify overlooked threats – from personally identifiable information in an open Excel file on a desktop to a vulnerable piece of software on that computer.”

“What makes it different is that we automate a traditionally manual and time-consuming process, making compliance and risk management more achievable for MSPs of all sizes.”

Challenges Faced

What challenges has Bellini and the team faced in building the company? Bellini acknowledged:

“Absolutely. The Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report highlighted the growing threat from exploited vulnerabilities, especially with internet facing or “edge” devices. Firewalls and IoT devices have become prime targets for attackers. We’ve responded by enhancing our platform’s capabilities to better detect and fingerprint IoT devices like a smart microwave accidentally connected to a corporate network.”

“We also began building more robust policies and detection models to protect edge devices and ensure our partners can keep up with a rapidly evolving threat landscape.”

Evolution Of The Company’s Technology

How has the company’s technology evolved since its launch? Bellini noted:

“We started with a strong scanning engine but have rapidly expanded into more robust external scanning and now cloud scanning. Today, our platform doesn’t just find vulnerabilities – it closes the loop by providing remediation steps or even applying patches. We’ve also focused on deep integration with MSP workflows and improving our UX so that even non-technical users can deliver enterprise-grade security.”

Significant Milestones

What have been some of the company’s most significant milestones? Bellini cited:

“Successfully navigating the complex platform migration from our V3 offering to V4 has been a huge milestone for us, it was not always easy, but we have finally successfully completed it. Another significant moment was opening our new office in Tampa. Not only was it a strategic move for operations, but it’s been a cultural win – bringing the team together, hosting Friday happy hours and celebrating birthdays.”

Total Addressable Market

What total addressable market (TAM) size is the company pursuing? Bellini assessed:

“ConnectSecure is positioned within the fast-growing vulnerability management market, which is projected to reach $24.08 billion by 2030, up from$14.94 billion in 2024, according to Markets and Markets. With our purpose-built platform for MSPs, we are addressing the need for them to deliver superior service to the many SMBs of the world at a price that will allow for effective vulnerability management for all. As more MSPs seek to deliver security as a service, ConnectSecure is expanding its footprint in this $24+ billion opportunity.”

Future Company Goals

What are some of the company’s future goals? Bellini emphasized:

“Looking ahead, our priorities are expanding our platform to proactively identify and secure more of the attack surface as well as enhanced reporting capabilities. A key initiative on the roadmap is internationalization. We’re working to expand language support for our reporting – starting with Spanish, German, French, and Italian – to better serve our growing global customer base. With an already strong presence in Italy, we’re aiming to deepen our footprint in other key European markets, particularly Germany and France.”

Differentiation From The Competition

What differentiates the company from its competition? Bellini concluded:

“What sets ConnectSecure apart is our focus on delivering a purpose-built, all-in-one preventative security platform specifically designed for MSPs. Unlike fragmented tools that require multiple vendors and manual processes, ConnectSecure combines vulnerability management, compliance control scanning, and cloud assessments into a single, multi-tenant solution.”

“Our platform goes beyond just identifying issues, it prioritizes risk, automates remediation, and generates reports that MSPs can use to demonstrate value to their clients. In addition, our close collaboration with MSPs – from early product development to ongoing feature releases ensures the platform directly reflects real-world needs. That community-driven approach, combined with our automation-first mindset and commitment to partner success, makes ConnectSecure a true differentiator in the market.”
