Conntour: $7 Million Raised For AI Video Intelligence Platform

Conntour, an AI video intelligence platform company, announced the launch of its business alongside a $7 million seed funding round backed by General Catalyst, Y Combinator, SV Angel, and Liquid 2 Ventures, among others.

The Miami- and Tel Aviv-based company has developed a platform that enables security teams to search video feeds using natural language, eliminating the need for predefined categories or rules. Users can query footage with descriptions such as specific physical attributes, objects, or behaviors, enabling more flexible and accurate identification across both live and archived video.

Conntour’s system operates fully on-premises and is designed to work with any camera infrastructure at any scale. The platform leverages proprietary computer vision technology to interpret complex, real-world scenarios, enabling both real-time threat detection and rapid forensic investigations.

Traditional video analytics systems rely on predefined parameter-based rules, which can lead to missed events, high false alarm rates, and time-intensive manual review. Conntour aims to address these limitations by allowing open-ended, context-aware searches that adapt to dynamic environments.

The company reports that its platform can significantly improve security operations by enabling a single operator to monitor thousands of cameras, reducing manual video review time by up to 90 percent, decreasing missed events by up to 80 percent, and lowering false alarm rates by up to 70 percent.

Conntour has already been deployed in Singapore’s homeland security operations and participated in the first cohort of Palantir’s Startup Fellowship. The founding team brings experience from intelligence agencies and high-tech companies, informing the platform’s design for high-stakes security environments.

KEY QUOTES

“Traditional video surveillance forces operators to define exactly what they’re looking for before they even know what they need to find. Existing solutions can only detect a predefined set of parameters, such as a weapon or a make of car. But what do you do when you need to identify someone passing a bag to another person, or a man with a Nike shirt? Real-world security doesn’t work in neat categories. Our platform brings search-engine-level intelligence to any camera network, so security teams can respond to threats as they unfold and investigate incidents in minutes rather than days.”

Matan Goldner, CEO of Conntour

“In the intelligence community, our challenge hasn’t been a lack of video sources—rather, it’s been the difficulty in extracting what actually matters from the ocean of data they produce. Conntour is the only platform I’ve seen that truly allows people to ask a question in plain English, with full flexibility based on dynamic and evolving operational needs.”

Bob Flores, Former CIA CTO and Conntour Advisor

“What sets Conntour apart is the founders’ deep, first-hand understanding of how security teams actually operate. The co-founders have lived this problem in high-stakes environments, and that experience shows up in both the product and the speed at which they’ve earned trust from government and enterprise partners. We’re proud to back them as they transform how organizations search and act on video intelligence.”
