Consor has acquired ConeLabs, a technology company developing AI-powered infrastructure inspection and asset management tools, expanding Consor’s capabilities across digital twins, structural assessment, and intelligent infrastructure management.
ConeLabs’ proprietary inspection platform converts field imagery into detailed 3D digital twins and uses AI-assisted analysis to identify and map defects. The technology is designed to help infrastructure owners better understand asset conditions and make faster, more informed maintenance and capital planning decisions.
The platform combines field data capture, high-resolution 3D modeling, AI-assisted inspection, semantic analysis, and reporting within a single digital workflow. ConeLabs serves owners of transportation infrastructure, utilities, and buildings, including bridges and roads.
ConeLabs has also worked with departments of transportation across multiple states, providing Consor with an established technology platform that has already been applied to infrastructure inspection and assessment programs.
Consor plans to combine ConeLabs’ technology with its existing structural assessment expertise. The engineering firm said the integration could allow inspection teams to conduct more comprehensive assessments while giving infrastructure owners access to richer digital information about the condition of their assets.
ConeLabs CEO and Co-Founder Albert Mansour said joining Consor will allow the company to deploy its technology across larger and more complex infrastructure programs while continuing to build tools designed around engineers’ existing workflows.
Consor has more than 1,800 professionals across the U.S. and Canada and provides advisory, planning, digital solutions, engineering design, structural assessment, construction management, and program delivery services. Its smart infrastructure capabilities also include connected roadway technologies through its Cavnue division and AI-enabled applications for flood management and infrastructure inspection.
Consor is employee-owned and backed by New Mountain Capital, which manages nearly $60 billion in assets. ConeLabs was previously backed by investors including Spatial Capital.
