Construction Partners has acquired the asphalt manufacturing and construction assets of J.H. Strain & Sons, expanding its Texas operations into the greater Abilene market. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed in the announcement.

Its operations are supported by hot-mix asphalt plants, aggregate facilities and liquid asphalt terminals.

Publicly funded projects account for the majority of its business and include local and state roads, interstate highways, airport runways and bridges.

The company also works on private-sector paving and sitework for office and industrial parks, retail properties, businesses and residential developments.
