Control Devices Acquires Solenoid Solutions

Control Devices, a portfolio company of HBM Holdings, announced the acquisition of Solenoid Solutions. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition expands Control Devices’ product range and strengthens its position in key markets. The deal also enhances HBM Holdings’ expertise in the engineered flow control sector.

Solenoid Solutions brings complementary product lines, specialized solenoid valve technology, and product development capabilities to Control Devices. The company offers 2-way, 3-way, and proportional solenoid valves and manifolds.

By combining Solenoid Solutions’ design, development, and manufacturing capabilities with Control Devices’ existing platform, Control Devices expands its product breadth. The company said the acquisition advances its ability to deliver integrated solutions to customers.

The combination also creates new growth opportunities. Control Devices’ commercial organization is expected to extend the reach of Solenoid Solutions’ products across its customer base.

Solenoid Solutions serves critical end markets and applications including medical, food service and appliance, instrumentation, industrial cooling systems, and transportation. Its vertically integrated operations are also expected to complement Control Devices’ manufacturing footprint.

Solenoid Solutions is based in Erie, Pennsylvania. The company is known for technical expertise and an innovative approach to solenoid valve technology, serving industrial applications with high-performance flow control solutions.

Control Devices is headquartered in Greater St. Louis and designs and manufactures engineered flow control solutions. The company serves the compressed gas, compressed air, oil and gas, and liquid controls markets.
