ControlCase has acquired CyberNINES to strengthen its position in federal cybersecurity compliance and expand support for organizations across the Defense Industrial Base.
The combination brings together ControlCase’s global compliance infrastructure with CyberNINES’ specialized expertise in Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), enabling the combined organization to deliver end-to-end services spanning readiness, certification, and continuous compliance. The deal is designed to help defense contractors and suppliers meet evolving federal cybersecurity requirements while maintaining eligibility for government contracts.
CyberNINES has built a reputation for guiding organizations through complex CMMC requirements, particularly for Level 2 certification and protection of Controlled Unclassified Information. By integrating this expertise with ControlCase’s global scale and experience across more than 100 regulatory frameworks, the combined company positions itself as a comprehensive provider of federal compliance services.
The unified organization will support the full lifecycle of cybersecurity compliance for Organizations Seeking Certification, including readiness assessments, gap analysis, advisory services, mock assessments, and formal C3PAO-led certification. The companies emphasized that all services will be delivered with strict separation between consulting and assessment roles in alignment with CMMC requirements.
Scott Singer, CEO of CyberNINES, will join ControlCase as Federal President and lead the expansion of its federal division. His role will focus on scaling capabilities across the federal supply chain and enhancing cybersecurity outcomes for defense contractors navigating increasingly stringent compliance standards.
With more than 25 years of combined federal cybersecurity experience, thousands of completed assessments, and a broad partner ecosystem, the combined organization aims to strengthen cybersecurity maturity, reduce compliance risk, and protect sensitive information across the defense sector.
