Copart: Q4 Revenue Rises 2.4% To $1.15 Billion As Net Income Falls 17.4%

Copart reported fiscal 2026 fourth-quarter revenue of approximately $1.15 billion, up 2.4% from the prior-year period, while higher operating costs contributed to declines in gross profit and net income.

Gross profit fell 5.5% to $481.4 million from $509.7 million, while net income attributable to Copart decreased 17.4% to $327.4 million.

Diluted earnings per share declined 14.6% to $0.35 from $0.41 in the prior-year quarter.

Service revenue increased 1.4% to $969.5 million during the quarter, while vehicle sales increased 8.3% to $182.9 million.

Facility operating expenses rose 7.7% to $450.7 million, cost of vehicle sales increased 11.4% to $164.2 million and facility depreciation and amortization increased 14% to $53.8 million.

General and administrative expenses increased 16.6% to $97.8 million.

For the full fiscal year, Copart generated revenue of approximately $4.67 billion, an increase of 0.4% from $4.65 billion in fiscal 2025.

Full-year gross profit declined 0.8% to approximately $2.08 billion, while net income attributable to Copart decreased 4.4% to approximately $1.5 billion.

Diluted full-year earnings per share fell 2.5% to $1.55 from $1.59.

U.S. revenue for the full year totaled approximately $3.81 billion, while international revenue reached approximately $858.8 million. Consolidated operating income was approximately $1.65 billion, compared with $1.70 billion in fiscal 2025.

Copart ended fiscal 2026 with approximately $1.91 billion in cash, cash equivalents and restricted cash and $2.58 billion in held-to-maturity securities.

Total assets were approximately $10.03 billion, while total liabilities were approximately $913.9 million.

The company operates more than 250 locations across 11 countries and connects vehicle sellers with approximately one million members in more than 185 countries. Copart sold more than four million units during the past year.
