CoPlane, an AI-native enterprise software company focused on overhauling back-office operations for large organizations, announced that it has raised a $14 million seed round led by Ribbit, with additional participation from Stripe, Optum Ventures, and Terrain. The company aims to replace legacy ERP systems with a unified AI-driven platform that streamlines finance, supply chain, and operational workflows.
The company is targeting the multibillion-dollar ERP market, where many systems date back decades and remain costly, rigid, and heavily reliant on manual processes and consulting services. CoPlane’s platform is designed to consolidate sprawling ERP environments and automate high-friction tasks such as invoice exception handling and sales order entry. According to the company, customers can deploy production-ready systems in days rather than years while retaining complete control of their data in their own cloud environments.
CoPlane’s early customer base spans industrials, healthcare services, and late-stage technology companies, including OI Infusion and Red Ventures. The startup was founded in 2024 by Chris Sperandio, along with co-founders Scott and Victor. Sperandio previously served as Lead Product Architect at Segment and later led product acceleration initiatives at Stripe, where he observed firsthand the inefficiencies created by fragmented ERP environments. The founding team built the platform by embedding with enterprise design partners to eliminate manual workflows and harmonize data across systems.
The company says demand from essential industries is rising as enterprises seek modern, adaptable back-office solutions that can handle operational complexity at scale.
