Corbin Capital Partners Closes First Litigation Finance Fund At $342 Million

By Amit Chowdhry ● Yesterday at 8:24 PM

Corbin Capital Partners announced the final close of Corbin Litigation Finance Fund I with $342 million in committed capital across the fund and related co-investment vehicles. The fund represents Corbin’s first dedicated litigation finance vehicle and builds on the firm’s investment activity in the asset class dating back to 2018.

Corbin said the fund focuses primarily on commercial litigation funding opportunities, including business disputes, antitrust matters, mass torts, bankruptcy-related litigation, and intellectual property cases.

The firm applies what it describes as a credit-oriented investment approach to litigation finance, targeting later-stage opportunities, shorter-duration investments, diversified asset pools, and structures designed to provide downside protection.

According to Corbin, the fund has already deployed capital into 26 investments and is expected to become fully deployed over the next 18 to 24 months.

The company said its broader opportunistic multi-strategy investment platform and existing capital markets relationships provide sourcing opportunities for the litigation finance strategy.

Founded as an alternative asset management firm focused on hedge fund and opportunistic credit investing, Corbin manages approximately $10.1 billion in assets under management as of March 1, 2026.

The firm operates as a majority women-owned independent alternative asset manager headquartered in New York.

“Litigation finance offers an idiosyncratic return profile that we believe is particularly attractive in today’s volatile geopolitical and market environment, where periods of dislocation often drive increased litigation activity and a growing opportunity set.”
