Core AI Holdings announced the launch of HomeGPT, an AI-powered home design and renovation application that combines multimodal generative AI, spatial understanding, image editing, smart layout generation, and AI video capabilities to transform a single photo into a complete design experience.

The company said HomeGPT is a key component of its vertical AI application strategy and has experienced rapid growth during its three-month open beta period. Despite limited marketing efforts, the number of active users across North America, Japan, and South Korea increased from approximately 2,000 to more than 130,000. Core AI also reported that paid conversion rates rose by about 210% compared with early versions of the product, while users generated more than 380,000 AI design tasks spanning interior, exterior, garden, and renovation projects.

According to Core AI, HomeGPT is designed for homeowners, interior designers, real estate professionals, and home furnishing brands. Users can upload room photographs, exterior images, garden photos, or even hand-drawn sketches to generate renovation concepts and refine them through natural-language conversations.

The platform offers a range of features, including interior and exterior design, garden planning, smart layouts, object replacement and removal, wall and flooring redesign, window concepts, reference-style redesigns, and floor-plan-to-3D generation. The latest version adds furniture recommendations, multi-image uploads, custom remodeling capabilities, Auto Match style selection, and varying levels of design flexibility.

Core AI said HomeGPT’s technology platform is built around three components: a spatial understanding and structure-preservation engine, multimodal generative design models, and a cloud task-orchestration and monetization system. These technologies are designed to preserve room dimensions and layout integrity while supporting workflows such as photo-to-design, sketch-to-real, chat-to-edit, and style transfer.

The company said its proprietary task management infrastructure allocates computing resources dynamically across image, video, conversational AI, and 3D workloads to improve efficiency and manage inference costs. HomeGPT employs a subscription and credit-based business model that generates revenue through premium features such as HD downloads, watermark removal, video walkthroughs, premium styles, and professional design tools.

Looking ahead, Core AI plans to expand HomeGPT with cinematic video walkthroughs that convert static renovation images into five- to ten-second immersive experiences. Future capabilities are expected to include AI-powered furniture shopping lists, budget-aware designs, e-commerce recommendations, 360-degree panoramas, multi-angle room consistency, construction references, and professional workstations for designers.

The company believes AI home design is one of the most commercially attractive applications of generative AI, given the significant opportunities across home renovation, real estate visualization, furniture commerce, and professional design services.

HomeGPT is currently available through Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
