Core & Main announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Pioneer Supply, expanding the distributor’s footprint in the water, wastewater and storm drainage markets across Texas and Oklahoma.
The St. Louis-based company said Pioneer Supply operates in Moore, Oklahoma, and Weatherford, Texas, and supplies products serving municipal, residential and non-residential end markets. Pioneer Supply was established in 1963.
Core & Main President Brad Cowles said the transaction is intended to deepen the company’s presence in the two states while building on Pioneer Supply’s local reputation for service and product quality. Pioneer Supply CEO William Dozier said the company is joining Core & Main with a shared focus on culture and customer expertise, pointing to Pioneer’s growth from a four-person team serving Oklahoma municipal water and sewer systems into a multi-state supplier.
Core & Main distributes water, wastewater, storm drainage and fire protection products and related services to municipalities, private water companies and professional contractors. The company said it operates more than 370 locations across the U.S. and has about 5,700 associates.
