Cosmos Labs Acquires Mintscan And Forms Cosmos Labs Korea To Advance Core Infrastructure

Cosmos Labs, the company behind the Cosmos digital ledger technology and interoperability solutions, announced the acquisition of the Mintscan product suite and the formation of Cosmos Labs Korea Co., Ltd. (CLK), a Seoul-based subsidiary. Through the transaction, CLK will oversee four key infrastructure components within the Cosmos ecosystem: Skip:Go, IBC Eureka, Mintscan, and the Cosmos Hub.

The move brings several critical infrastructure services under a single operator for the first time, enabling Cosmos Labs to support both enterprise initiatives and broader ecosystem infrastructure goals simultaneously. The company said the infrastructure assets serve as foundational components for the Cosmos ecosystem, which is centered around the Cosmos Hub and its native token, ATOM.

Cosmos Labs noted that Cosmos pioneered sovereign, interoperable proof-of-stake blockchains, and that institutional-grade stewardship is increasingly important as interoperability and institutional adoption opportunities continue to expand.

The acquisition also enables closer integration between Mintscan and Skip:Go, combining explorers, indexers, APIs, and routing capabilities into a unified platform. Cosmos Labs believes this streamlined infrastructure offering will better support both institutional customers and ecosystem participants while reinforcing the role of the Cosmos Hub and ATOM in blockchain services.

The company selected Seoul as the headquarters for the new subsidiary due to Korea’s longstanding importance within the Cosmos ecosystem. Cosmos Labs described Korea as the market where ATOM first achieved significant network effects and highlighted the country’s position as a hub for institutional finance and blockchain innovation.

According to the company, the acquisition also strengthens support for critical ecosystem infrastructure by bringing together a widely used infrastructure platform and an experienced team that has contributed to Cosmos for nearly a decade.

With the expanded team in place, Cosmos Labs plans to focus on accelerating the Cosmos Hub product roadmap while continuing to advance its enterprise go-to-market strategy.

“Through this acquisition, we are building the capacity to execute multiple priorities across the Cosmos Hub in parallel. We’re strengthening our talent pool to respond to rapid market changes and building an engineering organization that can deliver on evolving needs quickly and effectively.”

“Our interoperable product vision for the Cosmos Hub and the ecosystem’s infrastructure is ambitious, spanning across dozens of chains via IBC. Having a dedicated, accountable team behind it is a genuine accelerant for the work already underway across the ecosystem.”
