Covalent Equity Partners Invests In AML Analytics To Expand AI-Powered Financial Crime Testing

AML Analytics has secured a growth investment from Covalent Equity Partners to expand its financial crime testing platform, accelerate AI-powered product development, and grow its international presence.

Founded in 2010, AML Analytics provides independent testing, validation, and risk analytics for anti-money laundering, sanctions, and broader financial crime controls.

The company is used by more than 50 supervisory authorities and over 1,450 financial institutions across nearly 60 countries.

AML Analytics has evaluated thousands of financial crime systems and architectures, creating proprietary reference datasets and benchmarks used by regulators, central banks, and financial institutions to assess the effectiveness of their controls.

Covalent’s investment will support AML Analytics’ engineering roadmap, development of next-generation testing engines, and continued geographic expansion.

Founder Justin Holder will remain Group CEO and continue leading the business alongside its existing management team.

The companies said the growth of generative AI and autonomous financial agents is increasing the complexity and scale of financial crime threats, creating additional demand for independent testing and validation.

AML Analytics’ platform is designed to provide empirical performance benchmarks so institutions can measure, tune, and validate financial crime systems.

Covalent Equity Partners focuses on data-rich, mission-critical technology companies that can use AI to strengthen their competitive advantages.

FT Partners served as financial advisor to AML Analytics, while Mills & Reeve acted as legal counsel. McGuireWoods advised Covalent, and Code & Co served as its technology and AI advisor.
