Craft Ventures: $1.32 Billion Closed For Craft Ventures IV and Growth II

Craft Ventures recently announced it closed $1.32 billion in fresh capital for their two latest funds: Craft Ventures IV ($712 million) – their fourth early-stage fund – and Craft Ventures Growth II ($608 million) – their second growth fund. And the combination of venture and growth funds enables us to support the most exciting B2B software companies across stages. The new funding round brings the firm’s assets under management to $3.3 billion.

With $1.12 billion of AUM across Craft Ventures Growth I and II, Craft Ventures brought in seasoned growth-stage investor Michael Robinson to lead the growth practice. Robinson has spent his career investing in and advising both horizontal and vertical SaaS companies. Previously, Robinson was a lead investor at Georgian, where he led growth equity investments in software businesses and served as Interim CFO, VP of Finance, and COO for multiple portfolio companies. Prior to Georgian, Robinson was a technology investor at True Wind Capital and worked at Goldman Sachs. Kevin Gabura has also joined the growth team as the first of several key hires.

Along with their headquarters in San Francisco, the firm also announced the opening of a new office in New York City’s Flatiron District, which will be home to Craft’s NYC-based team and a workspace for local portfolio company founders and teams. Over the past decade, New York has emerged as a thriving hub of entrepreneurship and innovation. And roughly 20% of their portfolio companies are based or have a significant presence in NYC, and we expect that many future Craft investments will also call the Big Apple their home.
