Crane Company has agreed to acquire the U.S. pump business of First Reserve-backed Trillium Flow Technologies for approximately $240 million, expanding Crane’s exposure to municipal water and wastewater infrastructure.
The purchase price represents approximately 14.6 times the acquired business’s estimated 2026 adjusted EBITDA.
The business is expected to generate approximately $115 million of revenue for the full year 2026.
The acquisition includes the Floway, Wemco, Roto-Jet and WSP brands, which provide highly engineered pumping equipment used primarily in municipal water and wastewater applications.
Crane sees particular value in the business’s large installed base, which can generate recurring demand for service, repairs, retrofits and replacement equipment throughout the lifecycle of pumps already operating in the field.
The operation will become part of Crane’s Process Flow Technologies segment, increasing its exposure to infrastructure markets characterized by long-lived assets and ongoing maintenance requirements.
Crane also expects opportunities to combine Trillium’s pump technologies with its own product development, operating and commercial capabilities.
The transaction is expected to close during the fourth quarter, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
Crane employs approximately 8,300 people globally and operates through its Aerospace & Advanced Technologies and Process Flow Technologies growth platforms.
