Creati Raises $20 Million To Launch Buzzy, An AI-Powered Video Editing Tool

Creati Gen AI has raised $20 million led by Redpoint Ventures and launched Buzzy, a conversational AI video-editing product the company describes as the world’s first AI Video Photoshop, a new category of video editing that allows users to modify any video simply by describing the changes they want. Instead of relying on complex tools or reshooting footage, creators can describe changes — such as removing background people, fixing eye contact, or adjusting lighting — and have them applied precisely at the pixel level. The announcement comes from the team behind Creati Studio, which has grown to over 20 million users and $15 million in annual recurring revenue within its first year of operation.

Buzzy is designed to address what Creati’s founder describes as one of the most persistent and frustrating bottlenecks in modern content creation: the fact that a nearly perfect video is often discarded entirely because of a single small flaw. Whether the issue is an incorrect line of dialogue, an unwanted object in the background, or a minor visual imperfection, fixing these problems has traditionally required time-consuming tools, significant technical skill, or a full restart of the production process. Buzzy introduces a new workflow built around the idea of generating first and refining after, allowing creators to iterate on existing footage until it reaches the desired result rather than repeatedly regenerating from scratch.

The tool is aimed particularly at small and medium-sized businesses and marketing teams who need to produce and adapt video content at scale. Buzzy makes it possible to swap a featured product in a shoppable video without reshooting the entire clip, or to generate ten different versions of an ad from a single shoot for A/B testing — changes that previously required separate productions now become a matter of describing the desired variation in natural language. The platform enables users to change a presenter’s script phrasing, alter a background environment, add a brand logo in post-production, and more, all through conversation.

Creati says Buzzy is available now at buzzy.now and represents a fundamental shift in how video editing can work for creators who need speed and precision but lack the resources or technical expertise for traditional post-production workflows. The company positions the product as lowering the barrier to high-quality video content across the board, making the medium more accessible to a broader range of people who want to express themselves, run campaigns, or build their businesses through video.

KEY QUOTES:

“I throw away 95% of my AI-generated videos every day because of a single small blemish. We are stuck in repeatedly re-prompting workflows, when what creators really need is the ability to fix what’s already almost perfect.”

“Our users, especially small businesses and creators, struggle most with fixing details in both filmed and AI-generated videos. That’s exactly why we built Buzzy.”
