Credo Technology Group Holding announced it has acquired high-speed connectivity IP innovator CoMira Solutions, a move designed to enhance its system-level connectivity solutions for artificial intelligence infrastructure.

The acquisition adds specialized semiconductor intellectual property focused on link layer technology, error correction and security. These capabilities are expected to support the development of new solutions for both scale-up and scale-out AI architectures, an increasingly critical area as data centers and AI clusters demand faster and more efficient connectivity.

CoMira’s team of engineers and designers has developed connectivity IP deployed in high-volume chips used across networking, AI, high-performance computing and server environments. The company has partnered with leading semiconductor firms to deliver custom IP that powers advanced connectivity products.

With the integration, Credo plans to incorporate CoMira’s link layer, error correction and security technologies into its existing product portfolio. This includes enhancements to its ZeroFlap active electrical cables, ZeroFlap optics, active linear cables and OmniConnect solutions.

The newly acquired team is also expected to help deliver upcoming features for Credo’s AI-focused connectivity offerings across several major protocols, including Ethernet, ESUN, UALink and PCIe.

Credo said the acquisition supports its broader mission of delivering fast, reliable and energy-efficient connectivity technologies that can scale with the rapidly expanding demands of AI-driven data infrastructure.
