Cresset announced the appointment of Mark Ostroff as Managing Director, Wealth Advisor, strengthening the firm’s presence in the New York market. Based in the firm’s New York office, Ostroff will focus on serving ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, entrepreneurs, and privately held business owners, while helping clients access integrated wealth management solutions and private market investment opportunities.
Ostroff joins Cresset from Evoke Advisors, where he served as Managing Director and advised sophisticated clients on complex investment and planning strategies. Over the course of his 35 year career, he also founded and scaled multiple asset management firms, including Graystone Partners, specializing in manager selection, portfolio management, and direct investments. Those businesses were later acquired by larger institutions.
Earlier in his career, Ostroff worked as a CPA at Price Waterhouse before joining Goldman Sachs in wealth advisory. He also held senior leadership positions at Morgan Stanley and Kidder Peabody, where he led the firm’s Asian investment banking office in Hong Kong.
Beyond his professional work, Ostroff has been active in philanthropy and industry organizations. He serves on the boards of Shaklee Global and Children’s Rights and has held several leadership positions within the Young Presidents’ Organization, including Forum Chair, Education Chair, and Chair of the Global Family Office Network.
Ostroff earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Accounting and Statistics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He resides in New York City with his wife and four children.
