Cresset appointed Joe Zidle as Executive Managing Director and Chief Market Strategist, adding more than three decades of investment strategy and market experience to its multi-family office platform.
Zidle will work alongside Cresset’s investment and advisory teams to help shape the firm’s views across macroeconomics, asset allocation, public markets, and private markets.
He will also work with institutional clients, including foundations and endowments.
Zidle most recently served as Senior Managing Director and Chief Investment Strategist for Blackstone Private Wealth.
He spent nearly eight years at Blackstone helping develop investment strategy and market perspectives for private wealth clients.
Before Blackstone, Zidle served as a Portfolio Strategist at Richard Bernstein Advisors.
His responsibilities there included portfolio strategy, asset allocation, investment management, and relationships with wealth management firms and independent RIAs.
Earlier in his career, Zidle spent nearly a decade at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
His roles included Head of Investment Strategy for Global Wealth Management and Deputy Director of the Research Investment Committee.
Following his tenure at Blackstone, Zidle founded Zidle Macro Strategy Group.
The research firm focuses on macroeconomics, asset allocation, portfolio construction, and the intersection of public and private markets.
At Cresset, Zidle will help families evaluate portfolio construction and asset allocation decisions and assess the role of public and private investments within diversified portfolios.
He will also participate in the evaluation and execution of investment solutions.
Cresset serves ultra-high-net-worth families, business owners, entrepreneurs, foundations, endowments, and other institutional clients.
