Cresset announced that Ali Bathgate Hild has joined the firm as a Managing Director in its Denver office, strengthening the firm’s capabilities in serving entrepreneurs, business owners, and ultra-high-net-worth families navigating liquidity events, wealth transitions, and multi-generational planning.
Hild joins Cresset from J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where she spent 14 years advising clients across the Denver, New York, and Greenwich offices. During her tenure, she oversaw approximately $1 billion in assets under advisement and earned recognition as a Morgan Circle honoree, an award recognizing the top 52 advisors in the U.S. Private Bank.
The move comes as demand continues to rise for integrated family office services that combine investment management, wealth planning, lending, private investment opportunities, trust services, and long-term coordination across generations. Cresset said its independent multi-family office model has increasingly attracted advisors seeking greater flexibility, alignment, and long-term partnerships with clients.
According to the firm, Hild brings significant experience advising entrepreneurs and business owners, particularly those preparing for business sales and other major liquidity events. Her expertise spans wealth planning, investing, lending, and trust services.
Cresset CEO Susie Cranston said the firm remains selective in recruiting advisors and emphasized Hild’s experience helping entrepreneurs navigate complex financial transitions.
Hild said she was attracted to Cresset’s independent structure and comprehensive family office platform, noting that many of her clients are managing significant liquidity events and generational wealth transfers.
The hire reflects Cresset’s broader strategy of recruiting experienced professionals from large financial institutions while maintaining an entrepreneurial culture focused on long-term client relationships and ownership alignment.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Hild serves on the Investment Committee for the Kent Denver School Board of Trustees and mentors students through the Challenge Foundation. A Colorado native, she is a former Junior Olympic mogul skier and earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics and Spanish, along with a Minor in Entrepreneurship, from the University of North Carolina.
