CRH agreed to acquire NCC Industry’s operations in Denmark and Finland from NCC AB, expanding its aggregates and asphalt businesses across the Nordic region.
NCC Industry develops, produces, and sells stone materials and asphalt products for infrastructure and construction projects.
In Denmark, the transaction includes a national network of asphalt plants along with land-based and marine aggregate operations.
The acquired Danish business also includes significant reserves of high-quality aggregates.
CRH expects those assets to expand its ability to serve major road, infrastructure, industrial, and urban development projects.
In Finland, the acquisition includes reserve-backed hard-rock quarries along with backfilling and recycling operations.
Those assets will complement CRH’s existing Finnish businesses and expand the company’s connected materials portfolio.
CRH said the acquisition is consistent with its strategy of building an aggregates-led portfolio positioned around long-term infrastructure investment.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
Completion is expected during 2027.
Until closing, NCC Industry’s Denmark and Finland operations will continue to operate independently.
CRH employs approximately 83,000 people across roughly 4,000 locations globally.
