Crusoe: $175 Million Credit Facility Secured For Expanding Iceland Data Center

By Amit Chowdhry ● Aug 27, 2025

Crusoe, a provider of vertically integrated AI infrastructure, announced in collaboration with atNorth, a premier Nordic data center services provider, the expansion of Crusoe Cloud capacity within atNorth’s ICE02 data center in Iceland, powered entirely by clean energy. This strategic development aims to address the escalating demand for Crusoe Cloud services from clients of diverse scales across Europe and North America. To facilitate this initiative, Crusoe has secured a $175 million credit facility from Victory Park Capital (VPC), a prominent global alternative investment firm specializing in private credit.

The expansion within the atNorth ICE02 data center incorporates advanced NVIDIA hardware, including NVIDIA DGX™ NVL72 instances and NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs. Furthermore, the implementation of Direct Liquid to Chip (DLC) cooling enhances performance and improves energy efficiency. The ICE02 facility in Iceland is fully powered by renewable geothermal and hydroelectric energy, exemplifying Crusoe’s dedication to sourcing sustainable and abundant clean energy.

This expansion at the atNorth ICE02 site constitutes a vital element of Crusoe’s expanding European strategy, initiated in December 2023. The facility offers low-latency network connectivity and provides fully redundant access through multiple undersea fiber optic cables, ensuring reliable connectivity for customers across Europe and North America. This initiative complements the company’s regional expansion, which includes the recent announcement of a second European data center located in Norway.
