CSL Group, a London-based provider of Critical Connectivity services for IoT deployments, has acquired IoTM Solutions, a cloud-native SIM and eSIM management platform that consolidates fragmented carrier systems, connectivity management platforms and eSIM workflows into a single managed service.
The deal gives CSL immediate global scale across more than 100 mobile operators, a platform already managing more than 30 million SIMs, and proven operational infrastructure for orchestrating eSIM profile management at the scale required by enterprise and carrier customers preparing for the next generation of global IoT deployments. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2015, IoTM Solutions built a vendor-agnostic, cloud-native platform that provides a single pane of glass across SIM lifecycle management, eSIM profile management, usage reporting, support workflows and API access, regardless of which carrier systems, CMPs or network platforms a customer already uses. The platform supports more than 20 native CMP, API and carrier platform integrations, can onboard new customers’ entire SIM estates in hours rather than days, and is designed to handle both legacy estates and new deployments without requiring customers to rip and replace existing infrastructure. With the ability to scale beyond one billion SIMs, IoTM brings CSL infrastructure that goes well beyond its current 30 million-plus managed SIM base.
The acquisition is specifically structured to accelerate readiness for SGP.32, the GSMA’s next-generation eSIM standard for IoT, which is expected to reshape how enterprises and operators manage device connectivity, profile switching and carrier relationships globally. As IoT deployments scale internationally, enterprises and service providers increasingly face the challenge of managing SIMs, eSIM profiles and carrier integrations across separate portals and platforms, creating operational complexity, slowing carrier onboarding and making it harder to adapt to permanent roaming restrictions and evolving regulation. IoTM’s unified platform addresses this directly by bringing those fragmented functions under one managed operating model.
Combined with CSL’s existing rSIM SIM-level resilience technology and managed IoT services, the acquisition extends CSL’s resilient connectivity offering beyond network failover. The combined platform allows customers to manage outages, local carrier requirements, permanent roaming restrictions and changing market conditions through a single interface, giving CSL a more complete end-to-end proposition for enterprise IoT estates that need to operate across multiple geographies, carriers and regulatory environments simultaneously.
KEY QUOTE:
“IoTM was created to remove the complexity of managing IoT connectivity across multiple operators, platforms and countries. Joining CSL Group allows us to bring that capability to a larger global customer base, supported by CSL’s managed connectivity services and rSIM resilience. Together, we can help customers and mobile operators simplify SIM and eSIM operations and prepare for the next generation of global IoT.”
