Pulse 2.0 interviewed CTI Technical Services CEO Erik Eisen to learn more.
Erik Eisen’s Background

Could you tell me more about your background? Eisen said:
“I started my own IT/network business in 1993. I also worked for another integrator for a few years and returned to running my own business in 1998. Early in my career, I did contract work for various companies, including acting as a pre-sales engineer supporting sales teams. Since then, I have remained in business for myself, focusing on integrating technology for clients in healthcare and hospitality.”
Formation Of The Company
How did the idea for the company come together? Eisen shared:
“The company grew organically from client needs. In the mid-to-late 1990s, I received a call from a dentist interested in integrating software and imaging systems. At that time, nothing worked together, and installation was difficult. After completing the project successfully, I was invited to a study group of other dental professionals, which led to additional opportunities in the dental sector.”
“Over time, we expanded into other medical practices, including chiropractic and cardiology, and eventually into hospitality. My responsibilities include overseeing technical solutions, client relationships, and business development.”
Favorite Memory
What has been your favorite memory working for the company so far? Eisen reflected:
“Some of the highlights are early client projects where integration work produced significant improvements in workflow for healthcare clients. Another memorable area was developing point-of-sale and network solutions for hospitality clients, such as golf and country clubs and catering facilities. These projects often led to long-term relationships and referrals.”
Core Products
What are the company’s core products and features? Eisen explained:
“CTI delivers tailored IT and cybersecurity solutions. In healthcare, this includes navigating HIPAA and improving performance and uptime across clinical systems. In hospitality, we provide guest-facing technology solutions such as Wi-Fi, point-of-sale integrations, network security, video surveillance, and 24/7 managed support.”
“The focus is on both technical precision and reliability, ensuring that systems operate securely and efficiently for clients.”
Challenges Faced
Have you faced any challenges in your sector of work recently, and how did you overcome them? Eisen acknowledged:
“Challenges include attracting and retaining quality talent. Many people who apply for positions do not meet the technical or cultural fit we require. To address this, we focus on building the right team and ensuring the people we hire are aligned with the business needs and company culture.”
“Other challenges involve technology and compliance. For example, integrating disparate systems, staying ahead of security threats like infostealers, and keeping up with regulatory changes in healthcare require proactive planning and layered technical solutions.”
Evolution Of The Company’s Technology
How has the company’s technology evolved since launching? Eisen noted:
“Originally, the work involved individual integrations of hardware and software systems that were difficult to implement. Over time, the company has shifted to broader managed services, including network design, security, and support for healthcare and hospitality clients.”
“Security and compliance have become increasingly important. Solutions now include multi-layered cybersecurity protections, monitoring, and compliance strategies integrated into operations rather than retrofitted.”

“These successes often led to referrals and ongoing partnerships.”
