Cureety has acquired Reimagine Care, combining Cureety’s therapy-specific oncology monitoring and clinical intelligence with Reimagine Care’s AI-supported patient engagement platform and oncology-trained care teams.
Together, Cureety and Reimagine Care form a profitable organization supporting more than 250 cancer centers and 100,000 patients across five countries, with a combined workforce of approximately 150 people.
The companies plan to build a more continuous precision oncology care model as cancer treatments become increasingly personalized and complex and more care shifts outside traditional hospital settings.
Cureety’s platform was developed specifically for oncology and incorporates therapy-specific monitoring and triage intelligence designed to help care teams identify potential deterioration, prioritize patients and reduce administrative burden through digital workflows.
The system accounts for a patient’s treatment, cancer type and individual clinical context, helping distinguish expected treatment effects from changes that may require clinical intervention.
Reimagine Care brings a U.S.-focused oncology care model that combines its Remi AI-enabled patient engagement platform with oncology-trained clinical teams.
Remi interacts conversationally with patients, captures clinically relevant information and escalates cases to human clinicians when necessary.
For U.S. cancer centers and community oncology practices, the combined platform is designed to integrate into existing clinical workflows and connect therapy-specific intelligence with AI-supported patient engagement and additional oncology clinical capacity.
The companies said the model can also support established U.S. care-management and remote-monitoring reimbursement pathways.
The capabilities are particularly relevant as complex treatments such as CAR-T therapies and bispecific antibodies expand into more distributed care settings, where providers require infrastructure capable of monitoring and supporting patients between in-person visits.
Cureety and Reimagine Care also see opportunities to support clinical trials and observational studies by providing continuous therapy-specific monitoring, safety support and longitudinal qualitative data.
Reimagine Care provides patients with 24/7 access to oncology-trained clinicians and says its platform resolves 95% of patient needs virtually, helping reduce avoidable emergency visits and administrative demands on physicians.
The acquisition expands Cureety’s presence across Europe and the U.S. as the combined organization works to develop a care model in which monitoring, engagement and clinical support are increasingly tailored to each patient’s therapy, risk profile and needs.
KEY QUOTES:
“Cancer is a global challenge, and advances in treatment are creating many of the same opportunities and pressures for oncology teams regardless of where they practice. Cancer treatment has become extraordinarily precise, and we have an opportunity to bring that same level of precision to the care surrounding it. Together, we can understand what therapy a patient is receiving, what risks matter for that individual and how they are doing day to day, helping care teams focus their time and expertise on the patients and moments that need them most.”
François-Guirec Champoiseau, CEO and Co-Founder of Cureety
“Oncology is entering a period where sophistication of the care model has to catch up with sophistication of the treatment. Patients should be able to receive highly personalized support wherever they are, whenever they need it, while their oncologists remain at the center of their care. Together, we can give U.S. oncology organizations a way to expand access to advanced treatments, increase clinical capacity and stay continuously connected to patients without simply asking already stretched teams to do more.”
