Cursor announced the expansion of its operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa with the establishment of dedicated regional teams and the opening of a London headquarters this summer.
The AI coding platform said the move comes amid accelerating momentum in the region, with EMEA revenue tripling quarter over quarter this year. Cursor expects to increase its regional workforce to approximately 200 employees by the end of 2026, with hiring planned across engineering, go-to-market, customer success, and operations functions.
The company said the EMEA organization will support a growing roster of customers that includes British Airways, BP, Deliveroo, Nokia, and Sanofi, along with other enterprises across the region.
Cursor noted that the expansion includes investments in capabilities designed to address regional compliance requirements, particularly for organizations operating in highly regulated industries where data locality, privacy, and regulatory standards are critical considerations for deploying AI technologies.
The company said enterprises across sectors, including financial services, life sciences, energy, professional services, and consumer technology, are increasingly adopting AI coding tools to improve developer productivity, accelerate software delivery, and modernize development workflows.
Cursor also emphasized the importance of building local teams and a regional partner ecosystem to support enterprise AI adoption. The company described the expansion as a long-term commitment to organizations driving the future of software development in Europe.
Founded as a multi-model AI coding platform, Cursor supports frontier AI models and provides enterprises with tools for managing model access, controls, and system-level agent rules. The company said it serves more than 50,000 businesses, including 67% of Fortune 500 companies, with more than 150 million lines of enterprise code written daily using its platform.
