CV Advisors LLC, a multi-family office with more than $15 billion in assets under management, has hired hedge fund investor Hailey Gordon as a portfolio manager.
Gordon will split responsibilities between client advisory work and the firm’s research and investment team. She will oversee investment management for a select group of client families, including portfolio construction, asset allocation and manager selection. She will also work closely with founder, CEO, and CIO Elliot Dornbusch to develop and implement investment views and will join the firm’s investment committee.
Gordon brings global macro investing and client advisory experience, including six years at Bridgewater Associates, where she served as an investor and advised institutional clients on investment management. At the hedge fund, she worked with sovereign wealth funds and public pensions on portfolio construction, macroeconomic analysis, and asset and manager selection, according to the announcement.
Before Bridgewater, Gordon worked at Barclays in investment banking, focusing on interest rate and foreign exchange derivative solutions. She earned dual bachelor’s degrees in business administration and economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with highest distinction and election to Phi Beta Kappa.
Dornbusch said the hire reflects the firm’s continued institutionalization and “next generation” investment leadership. Gordon said she was drawn to CV Advisors’ blend of institutional investing rigor and a single-family-office-style level of personalization for high-net-worth clients.
The firm also pointed to Gordon’s move as part of the broader migration of finance talent from Wall Street to South Florida, which has been positioning itself as a growing hub for investment professionals.
