CVC Capital Partners has announced the next phase of its leadership succession, with Todd Sisitsky and Peter Rutland set to become Co-Chief Executive Officers by the first quarter of 2028.
Sisitsky will join CVC from TPG, where he has served as President since 2021, while Rutland is currently President and a Managing Partner at CVC. Rob Lucas will step back as CEO as part of the transition.
Sisitsky will also become Chair of the CVC Partner Board in his Co-CEO role. Soren Vestergaard-Poulsen will remain CIO of Private Equity and continue chairing the Europe/Americas, Strategic Opportunities and Catalyst investment committees.
Lucas has led CVC since June 2021 and oversaw the firm through its April 2024 IPO on Euronext Amsterdam. After the CEO transition, he will remain involved at both the group and investment levels, continue serving on several investment committees and serve as a Key Man for Europe/Americas Fund X.
Sisitsky has spent more than 23 years at TPG and most recently served as President and Co-Chair of its Management Committee. He also served on TPG’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee and built much of his investing career in healthcare and TPG Capital.
Rutland has been with CVC for 19 years and currently oversees the firm’s Credit & Insurance, Secondaries and Infrastructure strategies, while also serving as the long-standing global head of its financial services sector team.
