CVector has closed an oversubscribed $5 million seed round to accelerate development and adoption of its AI software designed for industrial operators navigating volatile inputs, complex production constraints, and shifting market demand. The financing was led by Powerhouse Ventures, with participation from Fusion Fund, Hitachi Ventures, Myriad Venture Partners, and Schematic Ventures.
The New York City–headquartered company says it will use the proceeds to expand sales capacity, invest further in product development, and support customers as they scale existing deployments. CVector was founded in 2024 by veterans with backgrounds spanning industrial operations and advanced research, including experience at Shell and CERN, and it is positioning its platform around margin optimization for energy-intensive facilities.
CVector’s product focuses on generating real-time, prioritized operational recommendations by combining high-resolution data from supply chains, plant control systems, and markets. Rather than stopping at analytics or alerting, the company emphasizes facility-specific economic models that evaluate different courses of action by their impact on profitability, accounting for operating parameters unique to each site.
The company says the software is already deployed across public utilities, advanced manufacturing, and chemical production, with customers including ATEK Metals and Ammobia. CVector also highlights operator-in-the-loop learning as a differentiator, tailoring recommendations based on how teams actually respond and work over time. The goal is to speed root-cause analysis and troubleshooting while enabling more proactive system planning rooted in historical performance trends and an understanding of physical systems.
Investors are framing the opportunity as part of a broader shift toward industrial AI that is usable by frontline teams and grounded in economic outcomes. In that view, the next wave of industrial software will need to connect contextual data to optimization logic and deliver recommendations in a format that operators can apply quickly in live production environments.
KEY QUOTES
“CVector’s AI native solution provides real time recommendations in the context of dynamic feedstocks, operating metrics, and customer demand. CVector sharpens decision-making around optimal production, ensuring every action is grounded in improved economics.”
Richard Zhang, Co-Founder and CEO, CVector
“Contextualized industrial data may be the fuel for AI, but CVector is the only solution which addresses the additional issues of economic optimization and accessibility by end users. Addressing all three issues is required in the new generation of AI industrial software for improved decision making in production environments.”
Emily Kirsch, Founder and Managing Partner, Powerhouse Ventures
