CyberMaxx has acquired Avertium, combining its Managed Detection and Response platform with Avertium’s Microsoft security, Governance, Risk and Compliance, and offensive cybersecurity capabilities.
CyberMaxx focuses on MDR services for midsize organizations and said the acquisition strengthens its ability to protect customers against five critical attack vectors and faster-moving AI-enabled attacks.
The combined company will adopt Avertium’s “Assess, Design, Protect” approach as a foundation for serving customers across different stages of cybersecurity maturity.
Avertium brings GRC advisory, security architecture and professional services alongside significant Microsoft expertise.
The company is a Microsoft Security Solutions Partner and member of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association, with capabilities spanning Defender, Sentinel, Entra, Purview, Intune and Copilot.
The acquisition gives CyberMaxx a broader platform spanning security assessment, architecture design, continuous protection, penetration testing, Continuous Threat Exposure Management and purple teaming.
CyberMaxx plans to continue offering its MaxxMDR service while investing in a more scalable, technology-enabled and AI-driven security platform for mid-market organizations.
The combination is intended to position CyberMaxx as a single cybersecurity partner capable of supporting customers from initial risk assessment through continuous defense and remediation.
