D.A. Davidson has hired John Baumgartner as Vice Chairman and Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets. Baumgartner will lead the group alongside Josh Nolan and focus on the origination, marketing, pricing and distribution of equity capital transactions.
He will be based in the Greater Dallas area, strengthening D.A. Davidson’s presence in Texas and the broader Southwest.
Baumgartner brings more than 25 years of experience across the consumer, diversified industrials, financial institutions and technology sectors.
He has participated in more than 300 initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, at-the-market programs, block trades and private placements for middle-market growth companies.
Baumgartner joins D.A. Davidson from Lake Street Capital Markets, where he served as Head of Equity Capital Markets and Financial Sponsors.
He previously served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets and Equity Origination at Stephens.
Before that, he was Managing Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets at Robert W. Baird and held several positions at Piper Jaffray.
D.A. Davidson’s investment bank serves middle-market companies across consumer, industrial, financial and technology markets.
