d-Matrix Acquires Wallaroo.ai To Expand AI Inference Deployment And Orchestration Platform

d-Matrix has acquired Wallaroo.ai, adding AI inference deployment and orchestration software to its data center inference platform. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition gives d-Matrix access to Wallaroo.ai’s technology platform, intellectual property and engineering talent across software architecture, high-performance computing, Kubernetes operations and AI inference systems.

Wallaroo.ai’s engineering, product and go-to-market teams will join d-Matrix as part of the transaction.

The deal represents d-Matrix’s second acquisition in four months. The company acquired GigaIO’s data center business in April 2026.

Together, the acquisitions support d-Matrix’s strategy of building rack-scale heterogeneous AI infrastructure that combines graphics processing units with specialized AI accelerators, or XPUs.

d-Matrix said these mixed computing environments can help data center operators improve inference speed and energy efficiency by assigning workloads to the hardware best suited to process them.

Wallaroo.ai develops software designed to simplify the deployment, orchestration and scaling of AI inference workloads across complex infrastructure.

By integrating Wallaroo.ai’s software with its existing silicon and systems portfolio, d-Matrix plans to provide an end-to-end inference platform spanning chips, networking, software and deployment tools.

The combined platform is intended to help customers move AI models from evaluation into production while reducing the operational complexity associated with heterogeneous computing environments.

Customers will be able to deploy low-latency inference workloads across configurations ranging from individual servers to multi-rack data center systems.

d-Matrix said Wallaroo.ai’s software will also help customers manage Kubernetes-based infrastructure and coordinate inference workloads across multiple types of accelerators.

The company believes deployment complexity has become a significant barrier for organizations seeking to use specialized AI hardware alongside traditional GPU systems.

d-Matrix’s flagship Corsair platform is designed for data center inference and is now in full production and shipping to priority customers.

The company’s broader product portfolio includes Corsair inference accelerators, JetStream networking accelerators, Aviator software and SquadRack rack-scale systems.

In July 2026, d-Matrix and Parasail announced a deployment combining the Corsair platform with NVIDIA Hopper and Blackwell GPU architectures in Parasail’s cloud data center.

The Wallaroo.ai acquisition is expected to strengthen d-Matrix’s ability to support customers using different inference-serving technologies and hardware configurations.

d-Matrix is also expanding its workforce and plans to hire engineers across several specialized areas as demand for its AI inference platform increases.

KEY QUOTES:

“Our customers are deploying AI inference across increasingly complex, heterogeneous environments, and they’ve told us the biggest barrier isn’t just performance, it’s also the operational complexity of getting there.”

“By integrating deployment and orchestration software directly into our stack, we’re giving customers the simplest, fastest path from evaluation to production-scale inference.”

Sid Sheth, Founder and CEO of d-Matrix

“What drew us to d-Matrix was our shared belief that inference requires seamless deployment and scale, not just faster chips.”

“Combining our AI orchestration software with d-Matrix’s purpose-built silicon immediately creates an inference platform that’s leaps and bounds ahead of the market.”
