D-Robotics has raised $400 million in Series C funding to expand its hardware and software infrastructure for artificial intelligence-powered robots. The round included strategic investment from an unnamed global internet company, other investment institutions, and follow-on capital from existing shareholders.
D-Robotics plans to use the capital to broaden its Sunrise chip portfolio across multiple computing performance levels while developing software that spans more of the robot development lifecycle.
The company’s goal is to provide an integrated hardware and software stack capable of supporting applications ranging from established commercial robots to general-purpose humanoids.
The financing comes as D-Robotics reports rapid commercial growth.
Revenue increased several times year over year during the first half of 2026, while cumulative shipments of its Sunrise chips surpassed 8 million units. The company also said its embodied AI business has entered mass production and that its integrated AI infrastructure has completed large-scale validation.
The Sunrise S600, an embodied AI computing chip introduced in November 2025, was adopted by more than 20 major embodied AI customers within its first six months.
Customers include TARS, Spirit AI, X Square Robot, UBTECH, PaXini Tech, Astribot, FOURIER and Booster Robotics. Their applications span humanoids, wheeled industrial robots, consumer-electronics manufacturing, embodied foundation models and multimodal perception.
D-Robotics is also expanding its Gravity Program, which supports robotics companies across product development, supply-chain selection, go-to-market planning and fundraising.
The program has backed more than 500 robotics developers across 10 emerging product categories, including open-source humanoid robots, AI sports coaching, embodied AI models, AI imaging and home companion robots.
More broadly, D-Robotics said more than 500 universities and over 100,000 developers across more than 20 countries have built hundreds of types of intelligent robots using its technology.
Its platform spans high-performance computing, operating systems, Sunrise chips and RDK robotics development kits supporting humanoids, quadrupeds, home-service robots, companion devices and logistics autonomous mobile robots.
