Daikin Applied Americas has acquired Chilldyne, a provider of negative-pressure liquid cooling systems designed for high-performance computing and AI-driven data centers. The acquisition strengthens Daikin Applied’s portfolio of cooling solutions and advances its strategy to deliver comprehensive, high-efficiency thermal management for hyperscale and next-generation computing environments.
Chilldyne’s liquid cooling platform utilizes a negative pressure system, which reduces the risk of leaks while directly cooling processors through cold plates. This approach is designed to help data center operators manage the increasingly intense heat loads generated by GPUs and other high-performance chips. The technology is designed to enhance energy efficiency, minimize the risk of system failure, and lower total operating costs.
The acquisition also aligns with Daikin Applied’s broader initiative to provide integrated data center cooling ecosystems. Chilldyne’s technology has demonstrated compatibility with modular high-density cooling cabinets from DDC Solutions, which Daikin Applied acquired in August 2025. The combined technologies support efficient cooling of high-density rack environments and form a foundation for expanding Daikin Applied’s role in data center infrastructure.
Chilldyne’s leadership team, including CEO Dr. Steve Harrington, will join Daikin Applied. The Chilldyne team will contribute to the company’s growing center of excellence for data center-focused solutions, aiming to scale production and global deployment of liquid-cooled architectures that support AI workloads.
Advisor: CapM Advisors served as the exclusive financial advisor to Chilldyne for the transaction.
