Databahn.ai is a technology company that offers an AI-powered data pipeline and fabric platform, designed to help enterprises manage their telemetry and security data more efficiently and cost-effectively. Pulse 2.0 interviewed Databahn.ai Co-Founder and President Nithya Nareshkumar to gain a deeper understanding of the company.
Nithya Nareshkumar’s Background

Could you tell me more about your background? Nareshkumar said:
“I’ve spent over two decades in cybersecurity, data infrastructure, and enterprise risk management—working across leading security vendors, the Big Four consulting firms, and major global financial institutions. These experiences revealed the pain points enterprises face when connecting fragmented data systems at scale. That perspective ultimately inspired me to co-found Databahn in 2023—building the kind of unified, intelligent data fabric I wished I had earlier in my career.”
Formation Of The Company
How did the idea for the company come together? Nareshkumar shared:
“By 2022, it was clear that enterprise data engineering had reached a breaking point—what I often call the ‘hairy ball of data pipelines.’ Companies were tangled in disjointed systems pushing excessive, redundant data, which inflated costs and slowed AI adoption. My co-founder and I envisioned a platform that could collect, enrich, govern, and route enterprise data in real time—making it AI-ready from the moment it’s created. That vision became Databahn.”
Favorite Memory
What has been your favorite memory working for the company so far? Nareshkumar reflected:
“In late 2024, less than two years after launch, we began onboarding Fortune 50 and Global 2000 enterprises that were able to cut telemetry processing costs by over 50%, automate most of their engineering workflows, and eliminate blind spots across their SIEM, observability, and AI systems. Watching those customers transform their operations so quickly was a defining moment for our team.”
Core Products
What are the company’s core products and features? Nareshkumar explained:
“Our platform is an AI-native enterprise data fabric. It includes:
- Smart Edge, Highway, Cruz, and Reef—covering everything from agentless edge collection to contextual metadata tagging and intelligent routing.
- Over 500 pre-built connectors for rapid integration.
- Advanced features such as AI-based filtering, automated PII masking, compliance tracking, schema drift detection, and anomaly alerts. We designed these capabilities to unify ingestion, governance, and enrichment across security, observability, IoT, OT, and business intelligence use cases.”
Challenges Faced
Have you faced any challenges in your sector of work recently? Nareshkumar acknowledged:
“In 2023–2024, enterprise data environments grew exponentially in both volume and fragmentation, straining traditional data pipelines. Our solution was to embed agentic AI into the core of our platform—so it doesn’t just move data, it understands and self-optimizes it. For example, our Cruz module can autonomously detect duplicates, unnecessary data streams, or schema drift, and take corrective action in real time.”
Evolution Of The Company’s Technology
How has the company’s technology evolved since launching? Nareshkumar noted:
“When we launched in 2023, we focused primarily on data ingestion and routing. By 2025, we had evolved into a full-stack, AI-powered data fabric with autonomous agents, real-time enrichment, federated search, and modular architecture. Today, our system adapts to multiple domains—from security to IoT—and offers enterprise-grade scalability without sacrificing simplicity.”
Significant Milestones
What have been some of the company’s most significant milestones? Nareshkumar cited:
- June 2025 – Closed a $17 million Series A funding round led by Forgepoint Capital, with participation from S3 Ventures and GTM Capital.
- 2024 – Expanded into Fortune 50 and Global 2000 organizations, driving measurable reductions in telemetry volume and costs.
- 2023 – Launched our first AI-native modules for automated compliance tagging and dynamic data suppression.
Customer Success Stories
Can you share any specific customer success stories? Nareshkumar highlighted:
“In 2024, a Fortune 500 enterprise reduced its SIEM-related telemetry volume by more than 50%, cutting licensing and storage costs while accelerating incident response. Another client achieved continuous compliance visibility with minimal operational overhead, thanks to automated metadata tagging and AI-driven anomaly detection.”
Revenue/Funding
When asking Nareshkumar about the company’s funding and revenue details, she revealed:
“In June 2025, we announced our $17 million Series A, led by Forgepoint Capital with participation from S3 Ventures and returning investor GTM Capital—bringing our total funding to $19 million. While we do not publicly share revenue figures, the funding supports our ongoing product innovation and market expansion.”
Differentiation From The Competition
What differentiates the company from its competition? Nareshkumar affirmed:
“Unlike legacy log-shippers or standalone enrichment tools, Databahn offers a unified, AI-powered data fabric that combines ingestion, governance, enrichment, and AI readiness in one modular platform. Our architecture delivers real-time insight, intelligent routing, and cost control while ensuring data sovereignty—capabilities that set us apart in the market.”
Future Company Goals
What are some of the company’s future goals? Nareshkumar concluded:
“Looking ahead from 2025, our goals include:
- Expanding our global customer base across security, observability, IoT, and AI-driven analytics.
- Advancing autonomous data engineering through AI agents that self-manage diverse pipelines.
- Building even deeper integrations to enable enterprises to act on data insights in real time.
- Continuing to simplify complex data infrastructures so organizations can focus on decision-making, not data wrangling.”
