Dayton T. Brown has been awarded a $55.8 million U.S. Navy contract modification to support the P-8A Poseidon Mobile Mission Systems mission, expanding the company’s work on ground systems, deployable equipment and mission-support capabilities for the maritime patrol aircraft program.
The modification establishes a new material contract line item within Dayton T. Brown’s existing order.
Under the award, the company will procure five P-8 Ground Systems and 21 Fly-Away Kits.
The materials will support system and subsystem modifications, upgrades and integration activities, along with capability and capacity growth across the Mobile Mission Systems program.
The modification also exercises options covering continued Mobile Mission Systems support.
Dayton T. Brown will perform the work at its Mission Systems Division facility in Hollywood, Maryland.
Completion is expected in March 2027.
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division at Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
The P-8A Poseidon is a U.S. Navy maritime patrol aircraft whose mission capabilities rely on an integrated network of aircraft systems, ground systems, communications, data and supporting mission infrastructure.
Mobile Mission Systems and related ground capabilities help extend the operational ecosystem surrounding the P-8A beyond the aircraft itself.
The latest award builds on Dayton T. Brown’s existing support for U.S. defense and aerospace customers through its Mission Systems Division.
The company provides testing, engineering, logistics, technical publications and military mission systems services supporting complex government and commercial programs.
Dayton T. Brown has operated for 75 years and serves military, aerospace, defense and commercial customers through facilities across the U.S.
The $55.8 million modification further expands the company’s portfolio of work supporting major U.S. defense programs and reinforces its role in providing technical and mission-support capabilities for the Navy.
