Decisions + ProcessMaker, the recently merged providers of business process automation and AI orchestration software, has acquired Configurable Management, a longtime partner that builds SAP-focused automation products to reduce risk and complexity in large SAP programs, such as migrations, data validation efforts, and enterprise-wide modernization initiatives.
The deal brings Configurable Management’s mass data processing and governance capabilities directly into the Decisions + ProcessMaker portfolio, expanding the combined company’s reach in enterprise SAP environments. The companies said the acquisition is designed to pair low-code workflow automation, rules-based decisioning, and orchestration with SAP-specific tooling built for common challenges across SAP ECC and S/4HANA landscapes.
A central element of the acquisition is Configurable Management’s “Decisions for SAP Solutions (D/4SAP),” which is built natively on the Decisions platform. The product suite is positioned as a way to automate and govern SAP interactions without requiring software installation or customization inside SAP, with the goal of speeding implementation and reducing disruption for organizations running complex SAP estates.
Decisions + ProcessMaker framed the acquisition as a response to mounting pressure on SAP customers to modernize quickly while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and control. SAP programs—whether driven by S/4HANA migrations, system consolidations, or continuous operational improvements—often become bottlenecked by manual data handling, fragmented validation processes, and limited visibility into project execution, the companies said.
Configurable Management’s lineup includes tools for high-volume SAP data uploads via SAP Business Application Programming Interfaces (BAPIs) and Remote Function Modules (RFMs); automation for repetitive transactions and mass updates in scenarios where BAPIs are not available; automated end-to-end validation that compares data between legacy and target systems to reduce sampling-based approaches; and a system-agnostic task and project management layer intended to coordinate complex SAP initiatives with real-time visibility and structured execution.
The companies also emphasized that the acquisition supports an approach where Decisions + ProcessMaker acts as an orchestration and automation layer that complements SAP—extending SAP with governed workflows, rules-driven automation, and cross-system orchestration while preserving existing SAP investments.
Configurable Management and Decisions have worked together for years, with the companies noting a close partnership since 2017 and a shared focus on SAP process automation. As part of the announcement, a customer, PrimeSource Building Products, cited a decade-plus relationship involving Decisions and Configurable Management, pointing to SAP performance, reliability, and process improvement outcomes. Financial terms were not disclosed.
