DeepCtrls has completed a Series B+ financing round led by CATL, with strategic investment from Aramco Ventures as the company expands its Physical AI technology across energy systems, advanced manufacturing and AI infrastructure.
The round also included Taiping Innovation Investment, GF Xinde and Fosun Capital, while existing investors Source Code Capital and Forebright Capital increased their investments. The company did not disclose the size of the financing.
Founded in 2018, DeepCtrls develops PhyAI, a proprietary Physical AI Engine that combines artificial intelligence with physical principles to enable real-time perception, prediction, optimization and closed-loop control of complex physical systems.
The company is focused on applying AI beyond digital information processing and into physical infrastructure, particularly where energy and computing systems require continuous optimization and control.
DeepCtrls has moved from technology validation into large-scale commercial deployment and now serves hundreds of enterprise customers worldwide across semiconductor manufacturing, new energy, advanced manufacturing and data centers.
It is also expanding Physical AI into AI computing infrastructure through technologies including intelligent liquid cooling and computing-energy coordination.
CATL is both an investor and a long-standing strategic customer of DeepCtrls. Aramco Ventures’ participation is intended to support the company’s continued international expansion.
DeepCtrls’ customers include Tencent, ByteDance, NVIDIA, TSMC, LG and PTT, with deployments spanning Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America.
The company was founded by a team with research roots at Tsinghua University and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and has previously received backing from investors including Tencent, Sequoia China, Source Code Capital and Forebright Capital.
