DeepL announced the appointment of Martino Cadoni as Chief Financial Officer as the company continues to expand globally and increase enterprise adoption. Cadoni brings more than 15 years of international finance and technology leadership experience, including guiding high-growth companies through scale, transformation, and significant strategic transactions.
Cadoni most recently served in senior leadership roles at Klarna, including Head of Strategic Finance and Investor Relations. During his tenure, he led the divestment of Klarna Checkout for over $500 million and contributed to Klarna’s $800 million pre-IPO fundraising efforts. He has also held finance leadership roles at HSBC and GE and founded MC4 Ventures.
DeepL has experienced a period of strong momentum, driven by the launch of new offerings including DeepL Agent, Customization Hub, and DeepL Marketplace. The company reports that Cadoni’s appointment aligns with its next phase of large-scale global enterprise growth.
Cadoni succeeds Markus Harder, who departed earlier in the year after building the company’s financial function and developing its finance team. DeepL’s leadership expressed appreciation for Harder’s contributions and wished him success in his next role.
DeepL continues to expand its product portfolio beyond translation, focusing on developing secure, intelligent AI solutions for complex business workflows. The company has over 1,000 employees and serves more than 200,000 business customers, as well as millions of users, across 228 markets.
