Definity, a vendor-neutral healthcare workforce platform, announced it has raised $7 million in Series A funding led by Accrete Health Partners, the digital venture arm of Bon Secours Mercy Health, with participation from additional investors.
The funding will support Definity’s efforts to scale its platform, expand its team, and accelerate innovation as health systems face mounting pressure to manage labor costs, workforce shortages, and evolving care delivery models.
Definity’s platform is designed to unify workforce planning, sourcing, and management into a single system. By providing a centralized view across internal staff and contingent labor, the company aims to give health systems better visibility into workforce utilization and spending while improving operational flexibility and maintaining care quality.
The investment also includes a strategic partnership with Bon Secours Mercy Health, which will use Definity’s platform to enhance its contingent workforce management and develop a more data-driven labor strategy. As part of the agreement, Bon Secours Mercy Health’s Chief People Officer Allan Calonge will join Definity’s board of directors.
Definity plans to use the new capital to further develop its product and deepen partnerships with health systems across the United States.
