Dell Technologies used CES 2026 in Las Vegas to roll out a broad refresh of its consumer and gaming hardware strategy, reintroducing the XPS brand with newly designed laptops, previewing a more affordable XPS 13 coming later this year, and outlining plans to expand Alienware’s gaming lineup significantly. The company also introduced two new UltraSharp monitors aimed at professional users, including what it calls the world’s first 52-inch 6K display.

Dell said the relaunch of XPS centers on two new models, the XPS 14 and XPS 16, which feature updated industrial design, refined interfaces and new display and performance options. The company said both systems are built from CNC machined aluminum and are positioned as its thinnest laptops to date at 14.6mm. Dell also emphasized battery life claims for the new line, including up to 27 hours of Netflix streaming and more than 40 hours of local video playback, depending on configuration and usage.

The XPS 14 is positioned as a lighter option than its predecessor at roughly three pounds, while the XPS 16 is listed at 3.6 pounds, with Dell describing both as substantially lighter than the prior generation. Dell said the lineup will be available with tandem OLED display options and Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, along with Intel Arc graphics that include 12 Xe cores. Dell also said the XPS family will expand later in 2026 across additional price points and form factors, including the return of the XPS 13, which the company expects to be the thinnest and lightest XPS laptop yet and offered at its most accessible XPS price point.

On gaming, Dell’s Alienware brand said it plans to effectively double the breadth of its notebook lineup to reach a broader range of gamers. The company said two new laptop categories are expected later this year, including an ultra-slim gaming laptop designed for mobility and a lower-priced entry-level laptop intended to broaden Alienware’s audience.

Dell also highlighted display and silicon updates for current and upcoming Alienware systems. The company said it is introducing anti glare OLED displays on the Alienware 16 Area 51 and Alienware 16X Aurora laptops, and that these models, along with the Alienware 18 Area 51, will use Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors. For desktops, Dell said the Alienware Area 51 Desktop will use AMD’s Ryzen 9850X3D processor and 3D V Cache technology.

In displays, Dell introduced two new UltraSharp monitors that it said are designed for demanding professional workflows. The Dell UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor is positioned as a single-screen alternative to multi-monitor setups for roles such as financial trading, data science, and engineering. Dell said it is the world’s first 52-inch 6K monitor and the first monitor to achieve the highest tier of TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. Dell also introduced the Dell UltraSharp 32 4K QD OLED Monitor, which it said is a CES 2026 Innovation Award honoree and the world’s first commercial DisplayHDR True Black 500 QD OLED monitor with Anti Glare Low Reflectance technology. Dell framed the new QD OLED monitor as a creative professional-focused option that builds on panel efficiency and HDR improvements, along with anti-glare capabilities.

Dell said additional pricing and availability details will be provided as the new products move closer to launch.
