Deloitte has acquired substantially all of the assets of Wavicle Data Solutions, expanding its Artificial Intelligence and Data practice with additional Databricks engineering capabilities and industry-specific data expertise.
Wavicle specializes in data and AI engineering and has developed a significant Databricks practice spanning all major hyperscale cloud platforms.
Its industry experience includes consumer goods, manufacturing, financial services, life sciences and healthcare.
Deloitte plans to combine Wavicle’s technical engineering talent with its broader consulting organization to help enterprises establish AI-ready data foundations.
That work is increasingly important as companies attempt to move artificial intelligence projects from isolated experimentation into production systems connected with enterprise data.
Wavicle’s forward-deployed engineers will contribute to custom industry solutions built within Deloitte’s Databricks-centric multi-alliance portfolio.
The acquisition also deepens Deloitte’s existing relationship with Databricks.
At the 2026 Data + AI Summit, Deloitte received three Databricks Partner Awards covering North America consulting and system integration, banking and public-sector SLED work.
The transaction is therefore designed to add both technical capacity and specialized talent rather than establish an entirely new practice.
Deloitte sees modernized data infrastructure as a prerequisite for deploying AI applications reliably across large organizations.
Wavicle’s knowledge across hyperscalers and regulated industries can help address the integration, governance and engineering requirements that frequently complicate enterprise AI adoption.
Deloitte has approximately 470,000 people worldwide across a network spanning more than 150 countries and territories, giving Wavicle’s capabilities a substantially larger distribution and delivery platform following the transaction.
