Dentons Adds Corporate Partner Claire Evans In Christchurch

Dentons New Zealand appointed Claire Evans as a partner in its Christchurch office as the firm expands its Corporate practice nationally.

Evans will join Dentons effective November 1, 2026.

She most recently served as a partner at PwC Legal, where she led the firm’s South Island legal presence and national services.

Evans has more than 20 years of experience practicing in Christchurch, Sydney, and London.

She advises companies, boards, investors, and fund managers on transactions and other complex commercial matters.

Her practice spans mergers and acquisitions, investment funds, capital raising, corporate governance, shareholder arrangements, corporate structuring, and commercial contracts.

Dentons opened its Christchurch office in April 2024.

Evans’ appointment is intended to strengthen both the local office and the firm’s broader national Corporate and Commercial capabilities.
