Dentons has hired real estate finance lawyer Maria Hera as a partner in its Hospitality and Leisure practice, based in New York, as the firm continues to build out its hospitality finance capabilities amid steady demand for large, complex transactions.
Hera advises owners, sponsors, and lenders on the financing, development, and construction of hospitality and other commercial real estate assets. Her work spans acquisition financings, construction loans, refinancings, recapitalizations, and related deal structures.
The firm said Hera’s experience aligns closely with its hospitality, real estate finance, and capital markets platform, and will bolster its ability to support clients seeking end-to-end capital solutions across global markets.
Dentons also pointed to the scale and standing of its hospitality team, noting that the practice has been ranked in Chambers USA as “National Band 1” every year since 2007 and is also recognized in Chambers UK for Hotels and Leisure. The firm said its dedicated hospitality lawyers advise across the financing, development, and operation of hospitality assets, supported by a network spanning six continents.
