Dentons US has announced the addition of Real Estate partners Ryan Goer and Bryan Walpole, along with Real Estate counsel Steve McCrae and Caitlin Nevin, to its Charleston, South Carolina, office. The additions come just one week after Dentons US announced the opening of its Charleston office, marking another step forward in the firm’s strategic expansion into one of the fastest-growing markets in the country.
Goer and Walpole advise mortgage portfolio lenders, servicers, borrowers, and private and institutional lenders on a wide range of secured lending matters. Their experience includes loan origination and the servicing of securitized loans, including defeasances, assumptions, modifications, consents, and other servicing matters. Walpole also advises on the purchase and sale of distressed debt. McCrae and Nevin represent clients across complex commercial real estate transactions and development matters, with Nevin bringing particular experience in renewable energy development, retail leasing, zoning, and entitlements, including South Carolina Fee-in-Lieu of Tax agreements. McCrae focuses on governmental entitlements and economic incentives for industrial and developer clients and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
The Charleston office opened with a group of eight partners across multiple practices, including an initial Real Estate team of Amy Ironmonger, Bo Manuel, and Matt Norton, alongside attorneys in the Employment and Labor and Corporate practices. Dentons US views Charleston as a key hub for supporting clients across an expanding business community, a strong regional talent pool, and industries critical to long-term economic growth.
Real estate is described as a core practice for Dentons US and a key area of strategic investment. The firm’s continued buildout of the Charleston office reflects its broader commitment to growing a high-performing presence in rapidly expanding regional markets that complement its national practice groups and money center footprint.
